Club Competitions

Twice a year we hold our club Chess Shield and Go Shield tournaments. The winner gets to keep the shield until the next competition and there are usually some other prizes too. Here you can see who have been the winners of these tournaments so far.

Since 2016 the Shield trophies we used have no space left for new winners to be engraved so we have switched to awarding small trophies to the winners which they can keep.

There is a gap for most of 2020 and the first half of 2021 because the club was shut due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Each year we have a heat of the UK Chess Challenge and the UK Go Challenge. Our heat winners have been:
